Family Friday - Family Night Indecision

I have been trying to decide all week what to do for our Family Night tonight.  It has been such a hectic week and I can’t make up my mind as to what I’d like to do.

I have it narrowed down to three choices:

1.  Making the No Bake cookies from Menu Plan Monday and playing The Game of Life Twists and Turns.  This would be the cheapest option.

Game of Life Twists & Turns

2.  Heading to the Drive-In to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Speed Racer.  This option would cost money, but it is still affordable.

3.  Heading to the movie theater and seeing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.  This would be the most expensive option, but it is Indiana Jones!

I am leaning towards seeing Indiana Jones, but it certainly isn’t the frugal thing to do.  Ugh, why does everything have to cost so much?

So what would you pick for your Family Night???

My Prayers Go Out to the Chapman Family

Steven Curtis Chapman lost his five year old daughter, Maria, in a tragic accident on Wednesday.  I know they must be heartbroken.  My daughter was born the same year as Maria and I can only imagine the pain they are in.  My prayers go out to them.  May they be comforted by the fact that Maria is sitting on the lap of God now.

I can certainly identify with this cartoon.  Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a reading freak.  I average 3-4 books a week, not counting cookbooks and children’s books. The last time we were at the library I left with thirty-three books.  Yesterday we only returned eight, LOL.  Now granted, I wasn’t done with a lot of them and I had renewed them online; still I fear that eventually I may end up with more library books at home than they actually have at the library.

Here are just a few of the ones we have at home right now:

In Defense of Food Spiderwick Off The Beaten Path: South Carolina The Wall Lost Histories Multicultural Cookbook
